Jack said I did a good job. I believe it's because I collected a lot of data to classifying the water quality in each case. It's really difficult but useful to understand the real and integrate conditions. Next step is to collect the land use map, at least the official land use statistics, to explain the water quality. It's expected to find something interesting between water quality and land use at next step.
The meeting also helped me identifying some idea that I shouldn't draw a section to perform the on-site situation of the monitoring station . Jack told me that I need to address all of the sub-basin of the station, if I want to show the spatial concept. That's true! I have to say jack thinks very very fast. Although sometimes he reads my writing just before our meeting, he always gives the critical suggestion.

Again, I went to bed lately last night. I decided to have breakfast outside. Henion Bakery is always the best choice! I took a green teabag and went to the counter, the waitress just brought the new croissants. What a lucky morning!
With my fresh breakfast, I read the local newspaper. There is a mosque to build and the resident argue it. They believe the Muslim temple will make the traffic worse. However, the leader of the Muslim thinks that's just a bias. Interesting!
In the class Advance Watershed Science and Management today, Tim gave us two paper. One is the evaluating items of EIS and another is the tip of conservation plan. There are some difference in the suggested outline for EIS documents. First, Land Use Relationship has a specific chapter. I guess it's because their Clean Air Act and Federal Water Pollution Control Act are relative to land use. Next, besides the forecast of the probable impact, they ask to list the effect that cannot be avoided. following up these effect, the short-term and long-term gains and losses should be listed; irreversible and irretrievable commitments of resources need be described. Third, the magnitude and importance of the effect of each action should be reported on all of the physical and chemical characters.
Interesting! There are really something different between Taiwan and US.
The main concept of conservation is including two parts: structure and function. It could be performed by the vector chart. For example, the structure as x axis and the function as y axis, when the native species diversity is getting higher, the structure will grow but the function won't changing. On the other hand, when the forest productivity is getting higher, the function will grow instead. Only if the structure and function are both improved, the conservation is balance and healthy.
